Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We collect the minimum data needed to run the platform. We don't sell your data, we don't track you across the web, and we don't care about your demographics. We care about whether you can crack a cipher.

What We Collect

• Email address: used for account creation and magic link login. Never shared.
• Handle: your chosen display name, visible on the public leaderboard.
• Challenge progress: which challenges you've solved and your point total.
• Basic analytics: page views and performance metrics via Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-focused, no cookies, no personal data).

What We Do NOT Collect

• Real names
• Ages or dates of birth
• School or employer information
• Location data
• Browsing history beyond this site

There are no third-party trackers, no advertising, and no data sales. Period.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authenticated users. It's httpOnly, secure, and SameSite strict. That's it. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no marketing cookies.

Magic Links

We use passwordless login via magic links sent to your email. Tokens expire after 15 minutes and are single-use. We never store your password because you don't have one.

Third Parties

• Cloudflare: hosting, CDN, and privacy-focused web analytics.
• Email provider: transactional emails only (magic links). No marketing emails.

Data Deletion

Want your account deleted? Email hello@founderscode.com and we'll remove your data. Your leaderboard entry will be anonymized.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page with a new effective date. We won't email you about it because we're not going to start collecting more data.
